Time'Live® introduces precise and clear insight into your herd. Complete with new indicators to monitor their behaviour. The 24 hour time factor represents the response of how a herd member behaves in their environment. The animal's resting time is particularly important. Advantages of rest can potentially increase milk synthesis due to greater blood flow through the udder, increased rumination, minimal fatigue and stress, greater feed intake and less stress on the hoof results in reduced lameness. Time'Live® calculates the posture of the herd and the associated activity (ingestion at the trough, pasture ingestion, rest, over-activity, inactivity and rumination) every 5 minutes. It generates the time of an individual member or a group of the herd, day and night.
The calculation based on time is not limited to the total time spent doing one activity during the day but rather recording the overall frequency and sequence of the accumulated activities. This calculation (algorithm) identifies key points for improving the management of the herd such as animals standing too long, weak ingestion at night etc. Scientific studies show that a well-established schedule is tantamount with the well-being of the herd as well as profitability.
