The Medria Infrastructure

The FarmBox® automatically collects data from different sensors for delivery to the Medria® servers. It is here the data is processed and delivered via the FarmLife® web and mobile interfaces. The Farmbox® is connected via the internet at the farm or by using a 4G modem. Our consultants assist the farmers in setting up the connectivity on their farm. The Medria® device uses the LoRa (short for long range) technology, offering a long range communication between the base and sensors of up to 1 km (0.62 miles) with the standard gain antenna  and up to 2km (1.24 miles) for the high gain antenna respectively. The herd can be monitored in their house or out in pastures. In the event of network failure, the sensors have a 5-day memory to secure the continuity of service.

Our sensors are offered in the following formats:

  • Vaginal thermometer is placed in the vagina of the cow a few days prior to calving (12 Days Maximum) to predict and detect the calving via the Vel'Phone® Service.   

  • Thermobolus is ingested by the cattle and remains in the Cows rumen to monitor temperature and drinking.

  • Axel collar is placed at the neck of the cow via a collar to monitor calving, reproduction, nutrition and behaviour of the herd. It is a multi-service platform:

Farm WiFi

We can advise on the most suitable solution to connect your Farm to the internet. If no internet is available at your farm, we will consult and help find the best solution. This may be in the method of WiFi Antennas or 4G modem technology, each method will allow you to access the Internet for other connected devices:  such as Lelly systems.

Your Data In FarmLife®

FarmLife® is the web and mobile application on which the data of your farm can be configured and viewed at any time: from herd settings, alerts, sensor settings and system status FarmLife®: Access your information and be alerted in real time via the dedicated mobile application or website. Benefit from regular updates without the added cost. Save time, consult your herds milestones such as (calving date, heat, rumination etc.  All 4 services are integrated into one easy to use platform.
